I know i keep harping on about it but these past few months have absolutely flown by, thankfully we have had some fabulous weather to keep our guests happy, and i’ve seen and heard the children having a great time, which is always a good sign.

With Christmas only 5 weeks away, (yep i know) there is always something to do in an around our  holiday cottages, with Horning on the door step and lots of other great villages to explore, i would certainly recommend getting your skates on (hopefully it will not be that cold)  and pop over to our part of the world.

Steam Gala at Bure Valley Railways 24th & 25th September A firm local favourite is the Steam Gala at Bure Valley Railways, with their own fleet of locomotives and traveling engines, will be showing off their steam at a great event, it’s great for the kids (and adults of course) and we will be attending for sure.

Beccles Music Festival 16th – 25th September
The 5th Annual Beccles Music Festival will once again bring an exciting programme of classical and jazz concerts into the heart of the Waveney valley. There will be 10 days of concerts to enjoy and musical activities to take part in.

The changeable weather has had an impact on activities in and around the Norfolk Broads and coastal area, we had guests at the beach on one day and the next day they were confined to the games room with the kids here at Hall Farm Cottages, fingers crossed this upcoming week we will see some bright skies.

I would like to say thanks for the good comments from the recent care parties, stating how pleased they were with the disabled facilities in our holiday cottages and also for the guests commenting on the enclosed gardens and dog kennels, which has helped considerably for people holidaying in a Dog friendly environment.

Walks with the Warden (Hickling) Thursday  June 9th

Running between April and September on the second Thursday of every month. Walks start at 10am at the Visitor Centre and last approximately one and a half hours. – Adults £5, NWT members and children £3 – Call 01692 598276 for more details. Booking recommended

Water Trail Safari and Supper – 6pm Thursday 16th June
Experience a wonderful evening Water Trail around the inlets and waterways of Hickling Broad and savour the spectacular view from the Tree Tower before returning to the Pleasure Boat Inn in Hickling for a meal and drink. Trips run every Thursday evening from 5 May to 1 September (weather permitting). Trip departs from the Pleasure Boat Inn, Hickling at 6pm.
